Patience

Having patience...

Something that I've never known
Always keep to myself, yet it's never here at my home

Falling to insanity while I'm out day dreaming
Walking throughout the town, lights gleaming
Headlights beaming brightly against my lenses

Meeting new people that I'll never see again
But will they remember me, if so... when?

Strolling alone... indulging in fantasy, shall I cease?
I'm writing this down while listening to classic rap beats

Gazing at the stars hopeful that one day, I may fill these boots
Not but myself in the park, like old men I look back to my roots

I work hard

In this world it takes much more than heart
I came up in the world from passing pain and book-smarts
Knowing exactly how I'd depart... Building a legacy and forever hoping to "Restart"
